Over 20 years ago I set out for Colorado in search of a new life and making a career in advertising and marketing. Little did I know, one of the rising and leading advertising agencies of their time, was also opening an office in Boulder, Colorado. They took a chance on me as one of their project managers and I poured my heart and soul into it. After several years of advancing in the role, they promoted me to their creative resource manager. It was this experience and the years to follow that I honed my skills in operations. Not only did I enjoy optimizing workflows, managing resources and problem-solving to keep everything moving, but I thrived on facilitating collaboration, communication, and unity within the team. From there I expanded into recruitment, adding yet another skill to my operations profile. I love what I do and my passion is fostering a shared purpose and goal.
When I think back on what I wanted to do in my life, there was never any question about what I loved. Marketing and advertising is my passion and I felt so lucky to have been immersed in that world and given many opportunities to explore the various operation roles along the way. I genuinely enjoy working in operations because it allows me to contribute to the heart of how a company runs—solving problems, improving processes, and helping teams thrive. I take pride in making things work smoothly behind the scenes. At the same time, I value maintaining a healthy work-life balance so I can continue to grow personally and pursue my own passions outside of work. That balance is what keeps me energized and fully present in both areas of my life and I’m so grateful to be working at Marketing Intent alongside this team with Cherie, Alise, and Eileen.
