After graduating from college in 2007, I joined Wells Fargo in a leadership development role, gaining exposure to various business lines in financial services. The experience also taught me how to build strong professional relationships and maximize networking efforts. By the end of the year, I decided to pursue a career in marketing and never looked back.
I spent over 10 years at Wells Fargo, with my most noteworthy work being the lead marketer for the bank’s premium finance division. In 2014, I earned an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver and decided I was ready for a new challenge. I then joined Cetera Financial Group to head up marketing for Cetera Advisors and First Allied broker-dealers. My passion for building great brands, crafting compelling stories, and creating strategies aligned with company goals has driven everything I do.
When the world stopped in early 2020, and after over 15 years in corporate marketing with a one-year-old baby boy at home, I decided to re-evaluate what I wanted to be doing. In September of that year, I launched a resume writing and career consulting firm, combining my strengths of marketing a brand (in this case, personal brand) and being an expert in writing communications. I also acted as a contractor, taking on marketing projects as opportunities arose. It felt like a great balance: I was an entrepreneur and loved the extra time I got to spend with my family.
In 2022, I had my second baby and continued to run my resume business and take on a select few marketing projects. Then, in the summer of 2024, I saw a post from Cherie Fournier in a marketing Facebook group we both are a part of, and something pulled me to respond. We started some conversations, and by fall, I was taking on projects for the Marketing Intent team. One thing led to another, and now, as of January 2025, I officially joined the team.
Within the first couple of weeks on the job, I knew I had made the right decision. I work with amazing professional women who empower and support me and each other (and…the welcome to the team s’more kit didn’t hurt!). I also get to fully engage my marketing expertise and put it to work for our Marketing Intent brand and the Alternative Investment firms we serve. It really feels like a win-win!
